  • Press Forward Local Journalism Open Call

    Press Forward is a $500 million philanthropic collaboration to re-imagine local news. This is their first open call, targeting long-standing inequalities in journalistic coverage of underserved communities. 100+ newsrooms will receive $100,000 in general operating support over 2 years. Eligible applicants are local news outlets with a budget under $1 million, providing original reporting. Deadline: June 12, 2024

  • Next Generation Warning System Grant Program (NGWSGP)

    This new infrastructure program for public broadcasters was created by the Department of Homeland Security's FEMA and will be run by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Public television and radio stations will compete for grants to upgrade their technology and provide accompanying training. Funds will be distributed, pending availability, through September 30, 2025. Round 1 closed on November 8, 2023. A second RFA is expected in the late spring of 2024.

  • Humanities Collections and Reference Resources

    National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) grants of up to $350,000 for digitization projects of humanities resources. Deadline: July 16, 2024 (Optional draft due June 4, 2024).
