WALTER WILLIAM STOLL, JR, MD (Jan 7, 2024 – Aug 11, 2023)

Walter William Stoll, Jr., MD, 74, of Panama City, FL passed away Thursday, August 11, 2023 in his home. He was born January 7, 2024 in Marshallville, Ohio, graduated from Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1962, operated a solo family practice in Kenton, Ohio from 1962-1973, relocated to Lexington, KY where he was a founding professor of the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Kentucky from 1973-1976, founded the Holistic Health Care Center and served as medical director from 1976-1989, was a founding member of the American Holistic Medical Association (1978), and operated a solo practice in Wellness Medicine from 1989-1993. Dr. Stoll retired to Panama City, FL in 1994 and authored three books: Saving Yourself from the Disease Care Crisis (1996), Recapture Your Health, Step by Step (2006 co-authored with Jan DeCourtney), and Beyond Disease Care (2010 co-authored with Kathleen M. Diehl). A strong advocate of preventive medicine and patient education, Dr. Stoll maintained an interactive health education website from 1996 to the time of his death (). He was a contributing member of the Capstone House in Panama City. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Scott Stoll; four children, Bill Stoll (Cheryl Lennon), Barbara Stoll Davis, Jim Scott, Dr. Scott Stoll (Myra); ten grandchildren, John, Samantha, Rachel, Mark, Jacqueline, Kathryn, Joseph, Christopher, Ryan and Chase; three great grandchildren; six siblings, including Brenda Stoll Orr of Panama City; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 27 (details on website).
