1.00 METAL STRIP CEILING SYSTEM

1.01 GENERAL

Install to areas shown, prefinished 'LS.75', 75mm modular metal strip acoustical ceiling system complete with black faced insulation and all trim in strict accordance with all relevant Australian Standards and the Manufacturers Recommendations. (ref Acoustic & System Sales ...9370 2440)

1.02 SUSPENSION

Suspension shall comprise matt black finished carrier rails with machine formed fixing lugs to locate panels on 75mm modules. Fixing lugs to be fully concealed. Space carrier rails at 1220mm nom centres in parallel and join end to end with built-in joiner splices. Support carrier rails with 25 x 25 x .8mm angle hangers, tek screw fixed at 1200mm along carrier lengths. Fit extra carrier spaced no further than 150mm from perimeters and other abuttments to support panel ends. Install carrier to support and trim light fittings, and all other penetrations detailed.

1.03 METAL STRIP PANELS

Panels shall be Zincalume steel based 'LS.75' profile prefinished to selected Colorbond colour. Panels will be (* plain unperforated/diagonal pitch pin perforated), provided in maximum lengths to suit room sizes. All panel joins shall be firmly fixed with proprietory pan joiners firmly clipped into abutting panels. Lapped joints or joints not fully supported are unacceptable. Make openings for lighting, mechanical and all other services detailed. Fit prefinished metal perimeter and cover trims to standard detail as necessary.

1.04 INSULATION

Fit between carrier rails and over all panels, black faced fibreglass insulation (* 25mm thick R0.6 or 50mm thick R1.2). Insulation must lay flat and cover the whole ceiling area and all spaces between panels.

1.05 COMPLETION

Upon completion, check all lines, levels and joints, wipe clean and ensure that all panels are undamaged and clipped into place. Check that insulation is in place and flat and hand over the completed installation in perfect condition.
