Subject: Broadcast E-mail: Invitation to Participate in Workplace Experiences Survey | Feb. 23 - Mar. 18

As Honorary Chair of the Focus on People Executive Steering Committee,
I am pleased to announce the launch of UBC's first Workplace
Experiences Survey today, a key step forward in the implementation of
our Focus on People strategy to enhance workplace practices.

It is important that we hear from you about what it is like to work
here. Your participation will help us measure how well we are
implementing our overall people practices across UBC and ensure we
continue to attract and retain talented individuals. The survey
should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete, and all responses
will be completely confidential.

- To complete the survey, visit www.focusonpeople.ubc.ca

- The survey access code is "survey".

- The survey opens Feb. 23/09 and closes Mar. 18/09.

- Paper surveys are available to staff who work in the following
Vancouver departments: Land and Building Services, Food Services, and
Housing. Paper surveys are also available from the Department of
Human Resources' office by request.

Please join me in completing the Workplace Experiences Survey before
Mar. 18, 2009. This is a vital part of the overall strategic planning
processes currently underway and it will contribute to the new
University strategic plan to be completed in fall 2009. Survey
results will be provided to the UBC community by summer 2009.
