Spice Market?
Any one know of a good, inexpensive place to get fresh whole spices (e.g. cinammon sticks, cardamon, etc.)? I've seen some at the local supermarkets (Abu Dhabi Coop, Al Safah, etc.) but was wondering if there is any place which is better - please leave suggestions below. Thanks.

The best spice souq around is in Dubai. It's impossible parking in that area, so the best is to get off at the bus stop in Bur Dubai (a 20 Dh ride from Abu Dhabi) and take the abra boats across the creek (1 Dh). They have everything, including very hard to find stuff.
ReplyDeleteCloser to home, the Carrefour spice section at the Marina Mall has most major sub-continent spices.
