We all have old photographs that we treasure, whether they are old family photographs passed on from previous generations, or historic photographs of the homes and towns we live in. But sometimes bad things happen to photos such as stains, rips and fading. Even properly stored photos can succumb to the ravages of time. We are experts at digitally restoring your most treasured photographs, leaving your originals untouched.

We understand that many old photographs are truly one of a kind. For your peace of mind, we can scan them while you wait so they never have to leave your possession. If you have a lot of photos to preserve, we can even come to your home and scan them there. For further security, we also backup your digital restorations off site, and we can burn your images onto CD’s or DVD’s so you can safely store digital versions for future generations.

Originals accepted: Any size of B/W and color prints, slides, tintypes and negatives (including glass negatives)

To estimate what it will cost to have your photo restored, you can use the print prices below and our examples of minor, medium, and major restoration jobs. We are happy to provide you with an estimate ahead of doing any work. Simply take a photo of the photo and email that to us. Minor and Medium quotes are firm. Major quotes are estimates but we are usually pretty close in our estimate and we will show you progress before going over the estimate.

Restoration Prices & Examples

We break out our restoration work into 3 categories, minor, medium, and major. The examples shown can help you determine which category your image fits into. You can click on each example to see that photo in more detail and see the before and after versions.

Minor Fixes

The photo only needs minor dust and scratch removal, and/or contrast and color corrections made. If the original is 8″x12″ or less, the cost is $5.00 as we can simply scan it. For photos larger than 8″x12″ the cost is $15.00 as we will have to photograph it.

Medium Fixes

The photo has major scratches, or a lot of mildew/water stains but they are in areas of the photo that are easy to correct. If the original is 8″x12″ or less, the cost is $30.00 , larger than 8″x12″ the cost is $40.00.

Major Fixes

The photo has portions missing, or major retouching is needed. We will provide an estimate for the repairs before starting. Scanning or photographing the image is included, and work is billed at $80/hour
