Birds Ferry Lodge is purpose built with the following guest room facilities:

  • All rooms have Ensuite Facilities.
    Two rooms have baths and showers, the third room has a large shower room suitable for independent wheel chair use.

  • Luxury Toiletries and Fluffy Bath Robes.

  • Heated towel rails in bathrooms, and radiators in bedrooms.

  • Electric Blankets.

  • Quality beds, mattresses and linen for a comfortable sleep.

  • Two rooms with queen size beds, one room with twins. The twin room has a double bed and a single bed.

  • All rooms have screened windows.

  • Fresh Cut Flowers.

  • All rooms have sea and/or mountain views.

  • Wireless internet available through wifi hotspots in all rooms.

The Okari Lake Hideaway rates are for two people per night with extra persons $25 per night.

Allow us to pamper you whilst you enjoy a special, (or perhaps romantic?) 1 night or multiple night getaway with us on the Wild West Coast. Grab your wife, husband, (or Significant Other), or perhaps get together with a couple of friends and get out of the Big Smoke and off to The Coast for the weekend. Relax in the elegant surroundings at Birds Ferry Lodge. Sip a glass of something cold whilst enjoying the forest and ocean views from the spa. Unwind with a Therapeutic massage. Visit the famous Charleston glow worm caves, the pancake rocks at Punakaiki and Paparoa National Park. Visit our local potters and artists, enjoy fine dining here at Birds Ferry Lodge, or sample the award winning cuisine at The Bay House. Go home refreshed rested and exhilarated.

Coast Escape
Luxury, ensuite room for 2 nights.
3 course fireside dinner for 2 on one evening.
Special gourmet breakfast each morning.
A "welcome" bottle of bubbly.
Handmade chocolates.
A half or a full days guiding in the local area, lunch included.
2 x 1 hour Therapeutic massage appointments
Early check in on arrival (from 11am).

Exclusivity - Have the Lodge to yourselves for an extra $300. We can offer exclusive use of the Lodge and Spa facilities giving you complete privacy.

Cape Escape
Until October we are pleased to be able to offer the fabulous 'Cape Escape Package.'
Dinner Bed and Breakfast $200 per couple - yes per couple, per night - you dine at the Award winning Bay House Restaurant then enjoy the luxurious surroundings and fabulous breakfast at Birds Ferry Lodge. Add a 1 hour massage $75, early check in and late check out available. Additional nights from $200 per night, Dinner Bed and Breakfast, or $120 Bed and Breakfast.
