Itinerary Day 1: We will leave the big bend on the Icefields Parkway. We will camp on or near the base of the Saskatchewan Glacier. Day 2: Continuing up the glacier we will get off it to the left and start southward across the Castleguard Meadows. Day 3: Leaving the meadows behind and below we will start up the north branch of the Castleguard Glacier. We will camp on the north ridge of Castleguard Mtn. Day 4: For those inclined to wake up early we can climb Castleguard itself before we start across the mighty Columbia. After breakfast we will start across the neve with hopes of setting up camp overlooking the Athabasca Glacier. Day 5: Again for the early risers we can make a sunrise ascent of Mt. Andromeda. After packing up cam we will start down the Athabasca Glacier and with a little luck get picked up by one of the tourist ice busses.
