Jamil Burns is a senior at St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco, California where he has developed a passion for knowledge and, in particular, mathematics. Outside of school, he pursues his ever-growing love for music. Jamil is a member of the Black Student Union at his High School, and of the San Francisco Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. When he graduates, he plans to embark on the next stage of his life, pursuing higher education on the East Coast majoring in Computer Engineering and Business.

Jamil Burns is one of my closet friends. He is a brilliant Mathematician, eager music lover and a wonderful individual. HIs vivacious personality is what brings people toward him. In the end i count him as a role model to myself and countless individuals who look up to his ideal.
Jamil Burns can do the flow, rack the points, and be the beau of the beaux. He’s a renaissance man par excellence, a credit to his people and an example for his schoolmates. We expect great things of him in the future and know he will not disappoint. Represent!
