YOUTH PROGRAMS AT BETH MEIER

Get your child involved in the following programs. Fill out and return the membership and school registration forms to get your child enrolled, or call our office for more information. Please note arrangements can be made for special situations and a discount is available to families with more than one student enrolled with us. Giving your children a quality Jewish education is a mitzvah!

RELIGIOUS SCHOOL

For children ages six to eight. Classes start in September on Sundays, from 9:30 to 12:00PM, until Shavuot.  Your child will get all the basic building blocks required for his/her further Jewish education. The curriculum includes music, arts and crafts, Bible stories, holiday activities and more. By the end of the year your child will know, in addition to the aleph-bet, a vocabulary of Hebrew words and songs, and major themes of Jewish worship and observance, and that being Jewish includes living an honest, respectful, and moral life.

HEBREW SCHOOL

For children ages nine to thirteen. Classes start in September and are held Sunday for advanced and intermediate student. These studies focus more on learning the liturgy, not only how to read the prayers in Hebrew, but also on the meanings of the prayers. The Hebrew vocabulary should expand during these years just as the students' immersion in the study of Jewish holidays, Biblical/Rabbinic stories, and lessons for conducting a good and noble Jewish life continue. By the end of his or her Hebrew School years, a student will be well prepared for his or her Bar or Bat Mitzvah.

YOUTH GROUP

Beth Meier's youth group is newly revitalized.  If you have a child in junior high or high school, call the office to find out more details.
