Autobiography
I
am a self taught painter quite comfortable with oil,
acrylic, and watercolors. I also hold a BS degree in
Architecture from the City College of New York and currently
work as an public works architect.
Similarly to how writers and poets choose words to
express their inner thoughts and their world view, I
use brushes and colors to confide onto a canvas my feelings,
emotions and impressions.
I find that my schooling in Architecture has helped
me to become more complete. It allows me to combine
elements of both to arrive at a better way of conceiving
shape, form, material and texture for my work- in both
art and and architecture.
I have exhibited in various countries but primarily
at the various City University campuses (CCNY, Hunter,
Queens College etc.) at the Henry Hicks Gallery, the
African American Museum of Long Island and at the Great
Neck Library.
My quest to better myself continues and I invite you
to come from time to time to explore and share in the
evolution of my work over the years. |
