The ongoing gift of a tree:

(Given name) has purchased this gift from CH Trust on your behalf.
It has bought a banana tree and an orange tree for a poor family in Honduras. The trees will provide food this year and, hopefully, an income for the family in future years.

Although many rural people in Honduras know how to cultivate banana and fruit trees, they do not have the resources to buy stock for themselves.
As a result they cannot grow them on their own land for food or as a cash crop.

A gift to others at Chistmas:

(Given name) has purchased this gift from CH Trust on your behalf.
Like the rest of the world the people in Honduras are subject to the current rising food prices. Most families rely on the morning school meal to help supplement their child's diet, which at the best of times is often meagre and inadequate.
During the long Christmas holiday (from November-February) when the children are not at school the families are under increased pressure to try to ensure their child will receive one meal every day.

Your gift has purchased the following food:
4.0lb of rice
1.5lbs of tortilla flour
2.0lb of dried red kidney beans
2.0lb of sugar
Three small packets of coffee
Ten stock cubes

This will last a family of 4 for 2-3 days.

Christmas Party for an Underpriviledged Child:
This card has paid for seven children to attend a Christmas party at their school. The children belong to poor families living in small mountain side villages. Children of all ages are included in the party, not just those who are primary school age.

The money will pay for a meal of chicken, rice, bread, drink, and fruit. It also includes Pinatas filled with sweets and lollies, which feature as a game in many Latin countries.

Without the money raised by the sale of these cards, there would be no Christmas party for these children. Their parents are too poor for Christmas time to be special. Rather, it is just another period of struggling to feed the family.

Thank you for giving to these children a party experience, a good meal and memories for the future.
