On May 22, 2024, Sterling Fly Elementary hosted its annual Career Fair, offering students a glimpse into various professions. Organized with support from Middle Rio Grande Workforce Solutions' Patricia Trevino and Martha Bagneschi, along with FJH Counselors Maggie Rodriguez and Bobby Villareal, the event featured organizations such as Crystal Dental Care, the United States Marshals Service, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and HEB. Students engaged with professionals through interactive activities, gaining insights into diverse career paths and the importance of education in achieving their goals. The fair was a resounding success, inspiring students to dream big about their futures.

Sterling Junior High's 8th-grade students embarked on an enriching visit to Crystal City High School (CCHS) to explore various career pathways. Led by Principal Dante Delgado, they engaged in hands-on experiences across fields like welding, building trades, healthcare, music, and cosmetology. Through this immersive tour, students gained valuable insights into potential career choices, empowering them to make informed decisions about their high school journey. With excitement and newfound knowledge, they returned to Sterling Junior High, ready to embrace the possibilities that lie ahead.
