In the Wikileaks Cablegate cables a lot of abbreviations are used. Those are called TAGS. Nearly all the tags used in the diplomatic cables are explained on this site.

TAGS (Traffic Analysis by Geography and Subject) is a subject-based means by which information can be organized, disseminated, stored, and retrieved

There are three different types of tags:

• Subject Tags
  A description of the subject of the cable

  Used for specific cross subject programs
