Babies, Mommies, Nurses and Doctors!

Well, we have heard from the team again.  This note was sent yesterday, March 1st.

We had a very busy first day at the hospital.  We completed 11 cleft lip and palate surgeries between 3 operating rooms, saw 15-20 patients in the ENT clinic and also evaluated 3 patients with vascular malformations at the Kijabe Hospital next door.  Two of these vascular patients along with at least 12 cleft patients from the ENT clinic were admitted and scheduled for surgery this week.  We will also have patients on stand by and they will continue to come for evaluation and surgery everyday this week.

Dr. Buckmiller and Patient heading to the OR!

Emily Copeland and Patient with Mom recovering...

We met so many precious kids today and were truely blessed by the tenderness and love they have for their babies.

This is Joy. She was enjoying her "photo shoot" while waiting.

In anticipation....

The hospital staff has been so very helpful and are continuously accomadating each and every need we have, while caring for the children and families with skill and efficiency.

We are glad to have things up and rolling and look forward to so much excitement in the coming days.

Please continue to pray for these individuals as they serve.  Also remember these families and children coming for miles, some of them, in order to be blessed by the volunteering of medical professionals from all around the US and the world.

Blessings, until next time!
