Ring hidden inside full-leather book with deckled paper and marbled endpapers.

 

 A custom-made engagement ring book is a unique and memorable way to surprise your loved one (and a perfect solution for the tongue-tied suitor).  

The engagement ring book looks and feels like an actual leather-bound book. The first pages of the book are printed with your text (handwritten pages can also be used).  The remaining pages are glued into a block, and a space for the ring setting is carved out.

Can you tell which is the original 1959 cover of this copy of The Sands of Muskeget, and which is our forgery?  We reproduced the original cover using our scanner, Photoshop, and some dirt from the floor of the bindery to replace a tattered, unsalvageable original.

While it is gratifying to be able to reproduce a missing cover or page, a record of such changes should be kept with the book.

 

 This full leather custom binding, done in the eighteenth century ‘Cambridge’ style, contains a year’s worth of emails between a newly-engaged couple.
