Barbara Etcovitch is a professional Classical Homoeopath, writer and lecturer. She holds a B.A. from Sir George Williams University in Montreal, an M.A. from the University of Ottawa, and D HOM (UK) from The School of Homoeopathy in Devon, England. Ms. Etcovitch has been practicing classical homeopathy since 1991. Her proficiency as a practitioner was assessed in 1993 by the North American Society of Homeopaths and she became a certified and registered member (R.S. Hom(NA) )* in 1994. She was further certified and registered by the Council for Homeopathic Certification (CCH) in 1998. Her Canadian certification is with the Canadian Society of Homeopaths (RCSHom). She remained an active registered member of NASH until 2002 as the organization had become divided and its amalgamation with the CHC made registration in it redundant. She now serves a vice-president on the first Board of Directors of the Canadian Society of Homeopaths.

Ms. Etcovitch's professional life has been dedicated to "wellness". In 1978 she created, promoted and administered TAKE FORTY, a unique enterprise which provided recreation, fitness and interest programs to employees at their place of work. Her clients included major corporations, small businesses, hospitals and schools in Montreal and Toronto. As a spin-off to this venture, she wrote and produced "The Break That Makes Your Day", a Cable TV series designed for "workers" in the home.

Ten years later, fascinated by the brilliance and potential of Classical Homoeopathy, Ms. Etcovitch trained to become a Classical Homoeopath and now has a growing practice in Ottawa/Orleans, Toronto, and Montreal. She continues to write and lecture on Classical Homoeopathy and to expand her understanding of "wellness" in general.

To more comprehensively address the needs of her patients, Ms. Etcovitch became ordained as an Interfaith Minister through the All Faiths Seminary in New York City  in 2004 and now offers spiritual counseling sessions to complement her homeopathy practice.
