D.D. (Dwight) Watson was born and raised in Toccoa, Georgia.
He retired from Delta Air Lines in 1993 after thirty-seven and a half
years with the company. He has been involved with art since his
first rendering of a tricycle at age four. Since that time art
has always been a part of his life.
His paintings depict a great interest in the outdoors.
Nature is a main influence in his renderings. He has participated
in national teacher seminars, art shows, and galleries. He has
studied with noted art teachers and has a master's certification for
teaching.
He has taught acrylics for eight years and is presently
teaching in a studio located in his home in Fayetteville, Georgia where
he and his wife, Kay, reside.
D.D.'s accomplishments, awards and recognition's are most impressive.
He has won top honors throughout the southeastern region,
and his art appears in homes across the nation and abroad.
He is a member of the Fayette Society of Fine Art.
