What's Included On Your Deluxe Cycle Tour

Deluxe Cycle Tours provide the ultimate fully-guided cycling experience. Our philosophy is that a cycling vacation can, and should be, a deluxe experience. We offer a vacation where every detail has been planned to maximise your comfort and style both on and off the bike; it is where style and sophistication meets rest and relaxation.

Our highly motivated and intensely committed team are resolute in their determination to ensure that your vacation is unforgettable.

6 Nights Accommodation – Double or Twin

Prestige
All our accommodation is vetted by ourselves before being selected for inclusion in our itineraries. We try to choose those with swimming pools and those with that extra special wow! factor.

We want you to be wooed by the traditional French charm of the selected chateaux and luxurious hotels. We feel that they’re fabulous and have every confidence that you’ll be bowled over, but don’t just take our word for it!

Premium
On our Premium tours we stay in a selection of individually chosen, well-presented hotels and guesthouses situated in ideal tourist locations, providing a friendly welcome and local traditional cuisine.

Meals

Evening meals, including half a bottle of wine per person and coffee, are provided each day. The meal is three, four or occasionally five course and is usually taken at the hotel’s gourmet restaurant. We try to select our wines from the local vineyards to ensure a totally authentic French experience.
Each morning starts with breakfast ranging from continental to buffet style and gives you a chance to take in your fuel for the day.

Arrivals and Departures

Collections and drop-offs are made from local railway stations and airports. For more specific details on each tour please see the individual tour itinerary.

Bikes and Helmets

We have a fleet of 27 speed aluminium hybrid bicycles with detachable handlebar bags and map holders. Each bike is individually set up for the client and comes complete with a basic tool kit and puncture repair kit, although the Guides will always be on hand to give you assistance should you need it. We also have helmets and basic waterproof coats on our support vehicle should we be unfortunate enough to sample the local rain, although we do find that a lot of our customers pack their own coats just in case, and sometimes prefer to bring their own helmets.

Baggage Transfers

Our support vehicle will transfer all luggage not needed for the days ride onto the next hotel. Should anybody want to do a spot of souvenir shopping then the vehicle will always be on hand to convey those larger objects. The support vehicle is also present throughout most of the day to replenish water-bottles, offer light snacks and generally look after your needs. The vehicle is also there to offer a lift to those feeling the strain or not wanting to climb the next hill, although fines for this will be payable in refreshments later in the evening!!

Guides and Maps

Detailed maps and instructions are provided for each day of your tour, although the two bi-lingual Guides are always about to sheperd you through any difficult spots. Remember, it’s not a race (unless you want to stretch your legs of course) and the Guides will always stick with those wanting to take a more leisurely pace. Both Guides will be contactable by mobile phone, which everybody will be given the numbers of.

Fun and Enjoyment

No extra charges are made for this and these tours are designed for your pleasure. Some parts of the rides can be demanding, but the support vehicle is always on call to pick up those weary travellers requiring a rest.
