- Cake Booth
CAKE BOOOOOOOTH!!
Most residents should have received a letter in the mail regarding our upcoming Carnival September 7th, 8th & 9th (posted in the comments for those who have not).
As a lot of you know, those letters USED to arrive on your doorstep attached to a cake box which we asked you to fill with a delicious homemade confection to be won at our cake booth.
Post Covid, we no longer deliver or accept homemade baked goods for our cake booth for obvious reasons.
While we have not been able to find a single-source solution for our cake flow problem, we have partnered with Ellington High School Culinary program as well as E C Godwin Technical High School Culinary and Luann’s Bakery to assist.
Also this year, YOU can help us once again by purchasing a baked item from a local bakery/store and either bringing it to the The Ellington Volunteer Fire Department (CT) next week or directly to the Carnival Grounds at Robert Tedford Memorial Park during operating hours.
We sincerely appreciate all the support over the years and despite the discontinuing of “homemade” cakes, our Cake Booth remains one of the most popular attractions at our annual fundraiser.
