Close To Shore: The Terrifying Shark Attacks of 1916 by Michael Capuzzo, 2001
This book will make you think twice before going into the water. In 1916, a rogue shark terrified the New Jersey shore for weeks. It killed 4 and injured another in 3 separate attacks, including the last one miles from the ocean in at Matawan creek. The drama gripped the nation and temporarily challenged World War I for space on the front page. This book alternates between the science of sharks and history of the attacks, and personally I could have skipped the science parts. They are interesting, but they are not the reason I wanted to read this book. I suggest this book to anyone.

what would the theme of this book be i need some help
I would say its a classic Man vs. Nature theme. You clearly have individuals struggling against a force of nature, the shark.
