Re: BF3 Alpha

Got invitation for BF3 Alpha also... Played first couple of rounds today through a browser window. It is hard for these eyes to see the enemy. I am sure that I could adjust my video settings if I was in game to fix this issue. The graphics on the buildings, trees, and environment is awesome, Very sharp and clear.. Hit detection seems to be ok.. I won't say great yet but it is at least as good if not better than Bad Company. No noticeable lag in the window and other than getting owned ... I have not been able to map my keys to my game format. It was enjoyable. I am thinking about getting this game but will wait on the rest of you to see where you guys stand.

One thing I did not like is that EA has a new service called Origin that you must download to get the alpha trial.. Origin is like steam and they want to create this whole social network get our shit here type of service which I do not like and wish they would not incorporate. If I want to do facebook then I will. I do not need a new gaming social engine for every different gaming manufacturer on my computer. Sigh!

I read the EA email saying that my EA account will now be Origin.  They failed to mention that with the change, I will have to bend my rig over for a nice Steam like shaft.  When the hell did we PC gamers give up the 'Personal Computer' liberty?  Shit stands for Phucked Constantly, if you ask me.  Good game.

It may be impossible to make someone's head esse plode via forum posts...
I set my sights a little lower....
Making em wish they'd 'shit or go blind', is a compromise I can live with.

press alt+enter to make this fullscreen -  they are just launching the game via browser right now for the alpha.
