Sea transport is most appropriate for large consignments that are non-urgent. Transit times on the water vary depending on the final destination. You can expect shipments from Asia to Europe take up to 5 -7 weeks, for US West Coast in 3-4 weeks, and 6-7 weeks for North Atlantic. Transit times vary, depending on the final destination.
Less than a container load
For small volume shipments to destinations that have low traffic and where we cannot arrange a consolidated container for shipmen there, we build a plywood crate (known as a “liftvan”) around the goods after packing. It will be loaded, as it is, into a container bound for your new destination country.
Full container load – 20’, 40’, 40’ HC, 45’
There are four different types of containers and we will choose the best suits your moving requirements. Once we have loaded the container at close to your residence as possible, we will seal the container and it will not be opened again until it arrives for customs inspection at its destination.

Packing Tips for long distance/container
Adequate padding providing cushion strongly recommended for fragile or breakable items. Each box should be filled full. Using packing paper, bubble wrap and other packing material when packing, will ensure your shipment is protected against the shock that may occur when your boxes come in contact with each other or hard surfaces. Do not use newspaper to fill any voids. Sometimes double boxing with foams in between them is a good idea for very fragile items.
- Wrap each item separately and protect sharp and pointed objects with added packing material.
- Place fragile/breakable items in the centre of the carton & surround it with protective material.
- Create an itemized packing list per box/suitcase
- If you are packing clothes, it is a good idea to vacuum pack them before placing them in the boxes, this will ensure that you can maximize your space.
Do not pack any hazardous materials such as alcohol, ammunitions, aerosol even perfume in the boxes. If you are not sure of any item that might be hazardous, please check with one of our agents.
All boxes must be sealed with strong adhesive tapes.
Label each box with your full name and the country that is shipping to and the number and amount of boxes (1 of 20).
Remember that your shipment has to travel a long distance so ensuring proper packing will help us deliver your goods in perfect condition. Use these simple packing tips to maximize your packing space and ensure minimal or no damage to your shipment:
Electronic Equipment, Computer, Hi-Fi, DVD, Radios and TVs: should be padded and boxed so that knobs are not broken off and the finish is not scratched. The drawers should be empty of all disks, as when they are re-started they may jam. Record players should have the turntable and playing arm secured. Box upright in carton well padded on all sides. Mark with and arrow pointing up and write UP on all sides. For console equipment, surround with furniture pads and then move and load upright.
ELECTRICAL/GAS SUPPLIES:You should arrange for these items to be disconnected from mains supply by an appropriate professional, prior to removal. Refer to the manufacturers instructions (check with local dealer).
