Coosa River Science School at The Alabama 4-H Center


Events The Coosa River Science School at the Alabama 4-H Center rests on 264 acres of lush rolling woodlands along the banks of beautiful Lay Lake and is surrounded by some of the states most ecologically diverse features including the Cahaba River, Talladega National Forest, Cheaha Wilderness and Oak Mountain State Park. The center is also located only 35 miles from Birmingham, a culturally diverse city with excellent dining, music and arts.

The Coosa River Science School is hosted at the 4-H Center, a full-service conference facility with lodging for up to 286 people. We offer meeting space, meals, and activities for groups and individuals. Our facility is equipped to handle coporate picnics, weddings, family reunions, church retreats, conferences, and meetings. The Coosa River Science School serves more than 3,500 students annually in 1-, 2-, and 3-day programs.
