Exuma Properties

Highclere House is located in Hartwell Exuma on high ground just a  stones throw from, with access to the turquoise calm waters of Moriah  Harbor. The home, built three years ago, has 3 bedrooms, 2  bathrooms  plus an office fitted with sleeper sofas.    The two-man kayak provided gives you  access to the marine reserve  on the deserted offshore islands, a 10  minute paddle away.

Walk along the pristine sandy beaches, where yours are the only footprints. Swim and snorkel in the warm tropical ocean. Explore the inland lakes which are nurseries for grouper, rays and turtles and see the ospreys fishing and feeding their young.

The two storey home of 2400 sq ft has an upper level balcony with sensational views of both sides of the island, the ideal location for entertaining or enjoying your sundowner.

The master suite (13ft x26ft) has a walk-in closet (6×8) and a private bathroom with walk-in shower. The lounge-dining room(20×27) overlooks the full length deck and the ocean.   The kitchen (14×14) is fully equipped and overlooks the BBQ deck

The home is fully air conditioned throughout and has ceiling fans in all rooms.

Exuma offers a variety of restaurants, some offering local fare, often based on conch, grouper or snapper with pigeon peas and macaroni and cheese. Some restaurants are located on beaches providing an opportunity to eat, swim and relax in a beautiful setting.

A more international cuisine is served in several hotels and restaurants.

If you are interested in watersports then you are in more a treat. Rent a 16 or 18ft runabout boat and explore the offshore islands and walk the Ocean beaches and collect shells or stop at a bar for a drink or join in a game of volleyball.

Scuba diving the ocean reefs or the Bahamian speciality, a blue hole. These vertical caves are the home to spiny lobsters and multitude of fish… Your guide awaits and will provide you memories for a lifetime.

For the really adventurous we now have a kite boarding school.

To arrive at Exuma International airport you can fly from Miami and Fort Lauderdale daily or from Nassau weekly. The Florida flight takes around 90 minutes, the Nassau flight just 35 minutes.

When you stay at Highclere House the owners are just 5 minutes away and available to ensure that your vacation exceeds your expectations.

Wi-fi is available for your laptop, and satellite television is included.

Guests also have the use of a 14ft Hobie catamaran sail boat located at our dock 2 minutes walk.
