ECOLOGICAL.
REGENERATIVE.
FARM FRESH FOOD.

We produce traditional lacto-fermented organic vegetables and 100% grass-fed American Milking Devon cattle and Icelandic sheep on our farm in Fairfield, Vermont.

We believe that farm fresh food is the best healthcare we can provide for our community. We are committed to agricultural practices which produce nutrient dense, traditional fermented vegetables and 100% grass-fed animals that nourish our community and regenerate the landscape and climate.

Vegetables and animals growing in symbiosis.

That’s how we’re able to bring you the amazing, bright and tangy sauerkraut and kimchi we make each fall. Vegetables are grown in rotating plots in pastures where our animals have grazed, creating a diverse soil biome that produces nutrient dense vegetables and grass fed meats. We then harvest these vegetables at the peak of their season and traditionally ferment them, creating nutritious krauts.

“I have been eating Flack Family Farm organic sauerkraut since they began in 1996. The world is finally realizing the connections to a healthy biome; linking soil health and personal health.  Flack Family Farm’s Real Organic Project krauts are key to my health.”

—Davey Miskell, Real Organic Project Advisory Board

“There's no food on earth that I trust more than the food I get from this farm. I've been coming here for the past two years and have seen how these people live and work, and I don't know anyone who respects their land and animals more than they do. With so much conflicting information out there about what to eat, or where to get your food, or if it even matters, I'm grateful to have found this oasis of real food that I can trust.

A bit about our farm & practices

Farm fresh foods are our passion and we’re committed to agriculture practices that are ecologically regenerative and yield nutrient dense traditional foods.  Cultivating community in our lives, on the farm and beyond is just as important to us as cultivating balanced soil, vibrant animals, and nutritious vegetables.
