Memphis,TN-Get ready to enjoy the premiere brand of minor league football in all of  America.  The  Gridiron Developmental National Football League Championship Weekend and All-Star Extravaganza.  The 2010 edition is slated for the weekend of  September 24th thru 26th in Memphis,Tennessee.

This is the Inaugural  National GDFL Championship Weekend.   The event will take place at Melrose High School Stadium, located near the  University of Memphis in the heart of Historic Orange Mound Community where football is King. Award ceremonies will immediately follow each Championship Game and All Star Game.

On Friday September 24, 2010 The Gridiron Developmental  Football League will kick off the 1st annual Championship/All-star Weekend Extravaganza at the Zodiac Lounge & Restaurant  in Memphis,Tennessee with the Class of 2010  All-star Participants.  Several Players, Coaches and Administrators will receive awards for their efforts on and off the field throughout the 2010 Gridiron Developmental  Football League  Season.

On Saturday September 25, 2010, The Gridiron Developmental Football League’s 1st annual All-Star Championship game will feature a battle of  The best of the Impact Conference All-Stars who will take on the best of the Xtreme  Conference All-Stars for the rights to claim. The GDFL ‘s best conference in 2010. The game will take place at Melrose High Football Stadium Memphis,TN. Kickoff is at 1pm.

The  Gridiron Developmental Football League National Championship Game, The Grand Finale.The National Championship Game Features the Best that the GDFL has to offer by Featuring The Impact Conference Champion v.s. The X-treme Conference Champion this Game is Guaranteed to Knock your socks off !!!!The game will take place at Melrose High Football Stadium Memphis,TN. Kickoff is at 5 pm.

On Sunday September 26, 2010 it’s the 1st annual Gridiron Developmental  Football League  Next Level Combine Hosted by Velocity Sports Performance Facility.   Start Time is at 9am.

GDFL Player Combine

During our Championship weekend we  will hold a  Player Combine & Pro-Day.

Date: Sun, September 26th, 2010

Time: 9:00 am to 1:00 p.m.

Location:Velocity Sports Performance Center

Participant Fee: Online: Player Association Members only $20.00
At the mini camp (CASH only) – $50.00

All participant fees paid are non-refundable as well as non-transferable. Fees submitted are for the selected  combine only, and may not be used for any other  combine or GDFL event or product.

Participant Eligibility Rules:

All participants MUST be at least 18 years old

GDFL Player Combine Information:

This combine is different from any other combine you have ever participated in. There will be contact All-star game is also evaluated! We will measure every aspect of your ability to see how you stack up against players from across the country. Each player will be tested on speed, power, agility, strength, athleticism and football ability via skills and drills per position,1 on 1 competition between offensive and defensive positions, situational competition (7 on 7), red-zone drills, and special teams (kick returns, punt returns, field goals, and field goal blocks). We will perform the same testing program that is used by the NFL and other testing programs across the country.

Each player will also receive the following:

Testing Analysis: Official testing conducted by professionals that will allow each athlete to set himself apart from the competition.

Player Profile: Individual player profile complete with personal information, photos, measurables, and mini camp testing results.

Scouting: Mini camp testing results and player profiles will be evaluated by GDFL scouting staff and professionals.

Players that are judged by GDFL Scouting Department as “Top Performers” at our mini-camps will be placed in free agent  pool for our upcoming 2011 All-American Game. Please note: All mini-camp/combine sessions will be filmed.

Equipment and Documents Needed to Participate:
In order to participate and be properly evaluated at our Player Combines, ALL players MUST bring the following equipment and information:

  • Photo ID (drivers license, non-driver ID, passport, or Photo ID cards
    that indicate “Date of Birth” are accepted)
  • Waiver and Release Form (to be signed at the door before participating)
  • Black colored Shorts
  • Cleats and/or Turf Shoes (the playing field is indoor field turf)
  • Helmet
  • Shoulder Pads
  • Athletic Tape (players must do their own taping)
  • Change of Clothes
  • NO Valuables (GDFL will not be held liable)

Transportation
All participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from our audition.

Local Accommodations
All participants are responsible for their own housing arrangements. For those requiring an overnight stay, the GDFL can recommend certain hotel properties in the area that have offered preferred, discounted rates to our Player Combine attendees.

Check-In Process
Early Check-In: Friday Evening, September 24th: from 6:00 pm to. 10:00 pm.
(for those that completed their EARLY registration ONLINE, please refer to your email Welcome Letter for details).

Late Check-In: Sunday Morning, September 26th from 6:30 am to 7:30 am.
To be held at TBA. Upon submitting your  registration fee and presenting a photo ID, you will be given a T-Shirt along with a Combine “scorecard” to allow camp personnel to record your skill measurements.
