LIVE SUSSEX WEB CAMERAS FROM HORSTED KEYNES

As seen on TV* and BBCi our LIVE webcams from near the Prime Greenwich Meridian in Sussex. Pictures update automatically every couple of minutes. Click picture to go to its dedicated page with more information.
OUR OUTDOOR CAMERAS ONLY SHOW A PICTURE DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS
We try our best to keep all our cameras on line all the time but circumstances -in particular our regular village power cuts- will sometimes cause outages.

Sussex view. Updated every few minutes. Dark at Night!
A live look at one of the main crossroads in the village

A view from the Southern edge of the village looking roughly South West in the general direction of Ardingly and often giving beautiful sunset views. The road straight ahead of you leads down to Horsted Keynes Bluebell Railway station. To the right is the village proper and to the left, Haywards Heath. If you can't see anything that will either be because the camera is broken yet again, or more likely because we have no street lighting and it's dark at night in Sussex! At present there is daylight from approximately 06:00 to 18:00. This camera is in an exposed location so can get "steamed up" when there's wet weather.

Horsted Keynes: Weather Camera: Play 30 days

Sussex sky view - how's the weather in Horsted keynes? Updated every few minutes but dark at night.
Live Horsted Keynes Sky View.

This camera points towards the northern sky to show the clouds directly over the village of Horsted Keynes. Our longest running camera, it has been continuously on line since 1998 and is linked on and off from the main BBC web site. This new camera has been set up to show the clouds and aircraft, it seems prone to "white out" occasionally. We have done our best to prevent this happening and can only apologise if you can't see the picture clearly.

As seen on Channel4. Watch those microbes munch!
Live Our famous Channel 4 recommended "Compost Cam"!

Due to a little local difficulty we have had to move the compost heap! Rest assured Compost-Cam will be back soon

Our Newest Live View!
Live Horsted Keynes Telescope Camera

We live in one of the last areas in Southern England where the sky is still reasonably dark at night with little light pollution. Take a look back when the weather allows us to observe and you will see what we can see!

Channel 4 in Britain called our page showing a compost heap slowly rotting away "The most boring page on the internet !" At HorstedKeynes.Com we are proud to be the hosts of this essential relaxing resource! Unfortunately we have recently had to move the compost heap and are in the process of setting up its replacement. As this will be in a damp corner of the garden under the trees, we are having to source and install a weatherproof web camera together with specially armoured cable, (and possibly some lights too). As soon as the new site goes live we will of course report it here.
