I’m quite disappointed with myself but I can’t resist to talk about my last “obsession” (I’m not obsessive but I can’t find another word) … Alexander Skarsgård!
Now and then I focus my attention on one actor or singer in particular (preferably male and good-looking but not always) and I try to find everything I can about him and above all… I tend to watch his entire filmography searching dvds high and low (my mum is not happy about it.. lol). London is my favourite place for my searches.
Alexander Skarsgård is my new “special observed” after Jared Leto, Johnny Depp, Scott Speedman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Robert Pattinson and Christian Bale. Don’t worry… I’m not a stalker… I just watch movies!
Now let’s talk about Alexander. The first time I saw him was in True Blood… of course but I haven’t really noticed him since the beginning of the second season when his character was becoming more influental. Vampire Eric is now my favourite character and my favourite vampire! Edward Cullen… don’t worry… I still like you! Lol…
Then I saw Zoolander and even if he made a small part he was so hilarious (probably because he was far from vampire Eric… opposite) that I couldn’t stop laughting for an afternoon!
Then I saw Hundtricket and I wrote a short review here.
Exit was another good film and apart from Alexander’s performance, I really liked Mads Mikkelsen. He’s a really great actor even if I saw him just in Casino Royale. I took some screenshots for my eyes pleasure (click for full size).
And last but not least… I’m planning to see Järngänget and Kill Your Darlings. I took some screenshots before watching the movies because I’m really curious… Enjoy!

It's No Big Deal 
You know, the trouble with Skars clips? I have to stop myself from watching them because I turn into a giggling idiot everytime he smiles, or breathes, or stands there. I must warn you though, I’ve chosen so far not to watch Kill Your Darlings even though I also like Julie Benz. I also am fond of Cillian Murphy and I think his role in Breakfast on Pluto kind of ruined his sex appeal for me. Ha ha. Not really, but I think I like Skars best Eric-flavored and not wearing a dress. Or not wearing anything. Thanks for sharing your new obsession! At least I know I’m not alone. He he.

Sadly, Alexander’s Swedish movies aren’t available in the U.S. and neither is Exit. I had to watch Om Sara on YouTube.

The Swedish dvd’s on Amazon are Region 2 encoded which works in Europe but not the U.S. 😦

Oh, you’re not alone at all! There are so many of us fans of the viking out there! I love Alexander in TB, of course, but also his Swedish movies are fantastic. I see all the youtube links and I think I’ve watched most of them. I believe Alexander is in Louisiana now shooting his new movie Straw Dogs. I believe this movie will be out in either August 2010 or Feb. 2011. Alexander is truly a genuine and humble person and always puts his fans first! Love, love, love him!
I own most of Alexander Skarsgård`s movies – even the Swedish ones, but not all of them are particularly great. AS`s acting was great, though. Even in the mediocre movies.
You know you can find solutions online to get rid of the “Region encoding thing” on most DVD-players?
No sorry 😦 I live in Europe so I don’t have that problem. If I find something, I’ll post it but I’m not so good with that kind of things.
Another series to watch is Cuppen. Alexander is such a fine actor besides being unbelievably gorgeous. He deserves to be in much bigger movies. I have never been this enthralled with an actor in my life.
