Is there any reason to be concerned about the future of the Bing API?

Yahoo! is going towards a pay model with Boss V2, and it's going to be powered by Bing. Bing has been the no limit free model (as long as you use our ads) search api for the longest time. Now though, I'm getting a bit concerned about it's future. First, I haven't see a lot of activity in the developer forums, lots of unanswered questions. Then this specific question made me a bit more worried. On March 1st someone noticed that the link to the ads program is now a 404. They asked if the program was being discontinued, over a month later there has been no response. The Bing Terms of Use state you can't have any advertising on your pages where you show Bing results unless it's advertising you get through their ad program. If the ad program is gone, it might a sign that the API will be next. If they get money from Yahoo! for what they are going to charge for Boss V2, it might make sense to drop their own API. However, I don't believe Boss V2 is going to have quite as much functionality as the Bing API. I personally was figuring I'd eventually need to consider moving to the Boss API anyway to get more freedom for advertising for unscatter.com, maybe I need to look more into that. Kind of confusing for Microsoft to remove the Microsoft Bing API + Ads Pilot Program, while the link to instructions for accessing it still exists on their developer page for the Bing API. Disclaimer: I am aware this is a good reason to not do a startup based on another companies API. Unscatter.com really isn't a startup yet, and search won't be the primary revenue model for it if it ever does become a startup. For now it's a hobby and I am enjoying making my own search interface. However, if I can make money off of it, I will. I mean, who wouldn't? If you wish to comment, please keep it to discussion about the future of the Bing API, not the risks of building against 3rd party APIs. Thank you.
