POST ADJUTANT – Gerald O'Sullivan

American Legion 2014 membership cards are now available as follow:  Regular Legion members $30.00, Home Association members $35.00, Auxiliary members $30.00 and Sons of the American Legion $20.00. Please get your dues paid. Thank you. 

Dues can be paid on Thursday evenings after 5:30pm or you can fill out a card, put it in an envelope found on the box by the bar and put the envelope in the box. 

REMINDER:  Legion meetings are the first Monday of each month. We need your support.


SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION – Commander Keith Miller

Please remember SAL meetings are the 3rd Tuesday monthly at 7 p.m.  Come to a meeting and share your ideas.

SERVICE OFFICER – Ron Hastings   

Any Veteran who needs transportation to the VA Hospital in Lebanon can call Rich Peterson who is in charge of the day transportation.  The vans leave the Camp Hill VA Clinic on Route 15 at 7:15 AM, Monday through Thursday mornings.  Also they ask that you schedule your appointment in the morning so they can return home by mid-day.  You must call 717-272-6621 ext 4596 or 1-800-409-8771 in advance. 

Veteran counseling and claims assistance are available for Veterans and their families at the Department of Veterans Affairs Office, 141 West Market St., York, PA.  Veterans requiring information or assistance may call the York County Veterans’ Affairs Office at 1-800-441-2025 ext 9218.         

All eligible veterans are encouraged to enroll with the VA as soon as possible to ensure their medical coverage in light of the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.        

Also keep in mind that our best source of information about members who are in need is from other members.  Don’t hesitate to call me at 717-259-5944 or 717-870-1397.

SCHEDULE OF MEETINGS

The meeting for Regular veteran members is the first Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the ballroom, with some exceptions for holidays. The Ladies Auxiliary meets at the same time in the Executive Room. The Sons of the American Legion meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Executive Room. The Legion Riders meet the second Wednesday of each month in the Executive Room. The Board of Directors meets at 9:00 am the Saturday following the regular veterans meeting.
