ALPHA
An opportunity to explore the meaning of life. If you are looking for something meaningful, ALPA may be a good choice for you or a friend.

Who is Alpha for?

  • People interested in investigating Christianity
  • Newcomers to the church
  • New Christians
  • Couples preparing for marriage
  • Christians who want to brush up on the basics

 What is Alpha?
Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith or those seeking to enrich their faith, adults of all ages are welcome.
Learning and laughter.  It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and have fun at the same time.
People coming together.  An opportunity to get to know others and make new friends.
Helping one another.  The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raised during the talks.
Ask anything.  Alpha is a place where no question is seen as too simple or too hostile.

What happens at Alpha?
Each meeting begins with a dinner followed by a series of talks offered over a 10 week period: Who is Jesus; Why Did Jesus Die; How Can I Be Sure of My Faith; Why and How Do I Pray; Why and How Should I Read the Bible; How Does God Guide Me; How Can I Resist Evil; Why and How Should I Tell Others; Does God Heal Today; What About the Church?

After each talk we meet in small groups to discuss the talk and any questions or issues.   This gives us an opportunity to get to know each other and learn together.  An optional overnight retreat at a local hotel is offered during the series - a wonderful opportunity to meet many other Alpha participants from other churches and to share in their faith journey.

Additional information can be found at www.alphausa.org

When does the next Alpha series begin?
Call the church office 610-539-6635 to find out when the next series begins.
