A wide-ranging group of Trade Associations, including MTA, from across the spectrum of the UK economy have jointly signed an open media statement that welcomes the CBI’s members vote for their programme of change this week.

However, the statement goes on to emphasise the importance of Trade Associations to the economy and why it is important that the CBI keeps them at the heart of its work.  This includes having associations within the CBI’s governance structure and a plan that allows it to enable and amplify the sectoral advocacy done by Trade Associations.  There are areas of work in which the CBI and Associations can work together, with the lead being taken by the organisation best placed to have the maximum influence.
