Magdalena Reising is a Scottish born singer and harp player with Polish parents. She trained at Chichester College and has a BA hons in music from Brighton University. She has composed, sung and played on many CD releases, radio performances and live concerts.

 

Her pedal harp provides subtle and atmospheric elegance at special events including weddings , corporate events and recitals   Her lovely voice can accompany the delicacy of the harp if required. She plays a wide ranging repertoire from classical , jazz to popular works.

 

She  has enjoyed a 7 year harp residency travelling around the world with Cunard ships and is now more land based in Brighton, East Sussex . 

 

UK Regular Venues/clients include The Grand, Brighton, Stanmer House, Prince and Princess of Romania, The Metropole, Sunrise Senior Living Group, Cunard, Amberley Castle, National Trust properties around the Uk.

Singer/harpist Magdalena Reising joins forces with jazz guitarist Shane Hill for an unusual combination of folk/popular and classical pieces with a jazz twist.


Magdalena Reising and Shane Hill have performed at Ronnie Scott's, 606 Club, Park Lane Hilton, The Cafe de Paris in the UK. Magdalena has also held Harp residencies on the Queen Elizabeth , Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria cruise liners. Numerous theatre dates , festivals and private events throughout the world are all a part of their shared performing experience.

Each performance takes the audience on an enchanting musical journey. Accompanying her are three of the best jazz improvising musicians in the UK, Terry Seabrook on piano, Steve Thompson on double bass and Alex Eberhard on drums, each capable of holding an audience spellbound. At the centre of the band are the bewitching vocals and harp playing of Magdalena Reising that evoke Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald but in the end are as individual, fresh and original as the band accompanying her.
