Dear Wayne,

The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has recently received a letter from a very satisfied client of yours. I have attached a copy of this letter for your files.

As the chairman of the Guide Advisory Board, I am very pleased to receive letters such as this. It is evident to me that with satisfied customers such as Scott and Missy Lefmann, your business will continue to benefit, as will the Department and the entire State of Maine. It is important that each of our anglers, hunters and other recreational visitors return to their home state with pleasant memories of the way Maine Guides have received them. Your service to these visitors has reflected the professionalism that all Maine Guides should strive for.

I congratulate you on a job well done.

Sgt. Mark Warren
Chairman of the Guide Advisory Board

Dear Wayne, Donna and Jason,

Got home safely, but it was a long trip. We got a good rest on Sunday, so leaving early was the right thing to do.

Thank you for a great hunting trip. I got just what I wanted and a good work out for the dogs. Jason did a great job. Donna, we loved our cabin. Wayne, I am sorry I did not get to hunt with you. You are a wonderful gentleman, so next time I will hunt with you as well as Jason. Will call later about dates.

Best to you,

Joy and Jamie Wood
Windsor, VA

Dear Wayne,

Wow! I can't believe another adventure with you is over. Time does, indeed, fly before our eyes. It was so wonderful to once again spend time with you, share stories, and talk about the important stuff in life... dogs, guns and birds. I am still beaming with your kind words about Gilly and Jagger. Any compliments coming from you I take as the highest honor. I must have told my wife a hundred times already about your compliments. I am sure you can see they are my whole life. I live to hunt with my dogs and to hunt them with such a knowledgeable and dedicated man like you is about the most I can give them. I am sure if they could talk they too would be thanking your the the great time and memories. My grouse and woodcock are already on the way to the taxidermist, what gems they are. When you hold them all you can do is stare at their incredible beauty. They both deserve to be revered as the most cherished quarry.

With the unpacking done, dogs bathed, and birds sent out I can sit back and smile and think about the great times we had and only dream about what is to come. You live in such a beautiful area that causes the bird hunter to daydream more than he should.

I can say that meeting and hunting with you has been a highlight of my hunting career. You are a great sportsman, steward of the land, and above all the consummate gentleman. I am honored to say we are friends. I am truly blessed and grateful that I have had the opportunity to share such great times with you, my friends and my dogs.

Thanks again.

Sincerely,
Dan Freed

Dear Wayne and Jason:

I just wanted to let you know that you provided Frank Gafford and me with one of the most enjoyable hunts of our long hunting career, and we have had some enjoyable hunts. You did an excellent job of putting us in prime habitat and making the shot opportunities available, plus providing prime companionship for the hunts.

Naturally, the retelling the shot on my grouse has become much more difficult than it actually was and the bird Gafford wounded was carried away by a 300 mile per hour wind and was therefore unrecoverable; the woods we were in could not have been penetrated by lesser mortals than we; and we have begun to let all our quail hunting buddies know that they are just a bunch of sissies.

I agree that the roughed grouse is really the king. I'm sure we'll come back for more. If you have a list of satisfied customers you refer potential hunters to, add me to it. By the way, the women thoroughly enjoyed the trip too.

Thanks again,
Virlyn Willis

Dear Wayne:

Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your time and dedication over the last none months as a member of the Big Game Working Group. I hope you found the experience worthwhile, I know I did.

In recognition of your hard work, patience and perseverance, I would like to present you with the enclosed limited edition art print as the Department's way of saying "thank you". Personally, you helped make my transition from a field biologist to wildlife planner an easier one, and I am truly grateful!

If I can ever be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Enjoy your print.

Sincerely,

Sandy Ritchie
Wildlife Resource Planner

Wayne,

I just wanted to let you know what a great time we had while hunting with you. You are a very gracious host and a great guide. I am stuck back on the project we spoke about and can't send you the Grouse II hunting pants until I get home for the weekend. I am sending back pictures with the pants. Thanks for the great hunt. We'll be back.

Dear Mr. Bosowicz:

Congratulations on your recent selection as America’s Guide/Outfitter of the Year.

Your selection is indeed an honor for you and your family and community as well as the entire
State of Maine.

Best of luck to you.

Sincerely,

JOSEPH E. BRENNAN
Governor

Dear Wayne,

Once again I would like to thank you for your hospitality during our upland bird hunt. Dan and I had a great time despite the rainy conditions and will definitely return in the future.

We appreciated Jason's hard work to put us on the birds in spite of the bad weather. He showed us some awesome country, and seemed to have as good of a time as we did pushing the bush. It was easy to see that you guys love bird hunting as much as we do.

Thanks again,

Michael E. Andrews, D.M.D
