Getting to Norse Horse Park

Washington Island is just a few miles off the tip of the Door Peninsula in the waters of Lake Michigan. On your trip to and from Norse Horse Park there are plenty of Scandinavian sites to visit.

The Island is serviced by Washington Island Car Ferry year round.

Norse Horse Park is just north of the commercial district on the Main Road. The address is 1391 Main Road. Turn down the path past the Garden to the garden shop and education center.

The wonderful Norwegian Stave Church with acanthus carvings and hand crafted shingles across from the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Take the Ferry from Jackson Harbor to Rock Island visit to the estate build by the Icelander Chester Thordarson with its fabulous Icelandic wood carvings.
