Defensive Driving

Due to the very high demand for this program, patrons interested in registering for AARP 55 Alive must add their name to a waiting list at the Circulation Desk.  Each patron must add his or her name individually.

AARP provides volunteer instructors to teach classes.  When the next class is scheduled with one of these volunteers, those residents who added their names to the waiting list will receive a self-addressed post card with dates and times for that class.  Those who receive a post card will have five (5) business days to register in person.  Failure to register in person will be considered a declination.  We will continue to notify patrons on the waiting list as new program dates become available.

We strongly recommend that you register for the program upon receiving a post card even if the class is earlier than you require for insurance purposes.  Due to the nature and demand for this program, we cannot determine when a patron will receive notification to register.

Notification post cards and registration are non-transferable.  North Babylon School District residents only.
