Convert 16×9 to 4×3 using MPEG Streamclip

Here’s a quick little tip to make those pesky 16×9 files you get and turn them into nice 4×3 files so they can live harmoniously in your 4×3 DVD Studio Pro project.  Just make sure to select the setting in the crop area as noted below and presto!  Your 16×9 file will now be a letterboxed 4×3 file.

  1. “pesky” 16×9…? No way! The old school requirements of apps that require 4×3 are what’s pesky!

  2. Believe me…i wish everything we got was 16×9, unfortunately we still live in a mostly 4×3 world. Just as 3/4″ tape is almost extinct, we can only hope 4×3 is on the same path.
