Just received information about shooting HD video with the Canon 7D and 2GB memory cards.

Some 2GB UDMA cards don’t work when trying to record HD movies with the 7D. There have been some 2GB UDMA memory cards made with one chip inside and some with two. There is no way to tell which configuration a card has without taking the card apart.

If you have a 2GB UDMA, test your 7D’s movie mode with it before you get caught in a must-shoot situation. Best bet is to use a 4GB UDMA or higher anyway.
