This is a great exercise in not only assessing your learning style, but also an excellent exercise in following instructions. After you have completed your Learning Style Graph, please read LSI-1 - 6 and then submit Journal Entry 5 to your instructor.

This wheel is an accurate picture of my ability as a student because it shows my strengths and weaknesses. My self-evaluation surprises me because I thought that I would have scored higher than what I did in the areas of communication, purpose and thinking. The two areas in which I am strongest are technology, and motivation. The areas in which I want to improve are communication, memory, planning, testing and thinking. I want to concentrate on improving these areas because I think that this will make me a better-rounded person and definitely give me more self-confidence. Select one discovery. Complete this statement: To gain some practical value from this discovery, I will make a concerted effort to work on the areas where I am deficient (communication, memory, planning, testing and thinking).

This wheel is an accurate picture of my ability as a student because these are the same areas that I have always shown some deficiencies. My self-evaluation surprised me because I discovered that I was stronger in certain areas than what I originally thought. The two areas in which I am strongest are communication and reading. The areas in which I want to improve are planning and testing. I want to concentrate on improving these areas because they are essential to my education and my future plans. Select one discovery. Complete this statement: To gain some practical value from this discovery, I will go back to the basics and learn more about setting short term-goals, which will help me with setting long-term goals. I have noticed that I sometimes set goals that are unrealistic.

This wheel is an accurate picture of my ability as a student because it tells me the areas of life in which I need to apply myself. My self-evaluation surprised me because I thought I was a lot stronger in areas that need improvement. The two areas in which I am strongest are diversity and purpose. The areas in which I want to improve are memory and testing. I want to concentrate on improving these areas because I could do so much more if I remembered things, which would put me more at ease. Select one discovery. Complete this statement: To gain some practical value from this discovery, I will analyze the materials from the Master Student text and create theories for solving problems more effectively.

This wheel is an accurate picture of my ability as a student because the different categories show me my strengths and my weaknesses. My self-evaluation surprised me because I discovered that I am very strong in areas that I did not think I was very strong in. The two areas which I am strongest are notes and purpose. The areas in which I want to improve are planning and testing. I want to concentrate on improving these areas because planning can be very helpful through out my life. To gain some practical value from this discovery, I will take advantage of my strengths and put them into action and find ways to fortify my deficient areas.
