      Instead of wrapping the rubberband around the ribbon spike pinwheel hair bow, you can place a single or double prong clip in the back behind the thread to hold the clip. Then wrap a plain or knotted 3/8 inch ribbon around the front middle and wrap it towards the back of the bow, open clip and hot glue the ribbon to the hair clip, then close your clip.
