    • A lot of people, myself included, think about pulling power far before they think about stopping power.  I agree with Birdman.  Sometimes through oversight/neglect/bad luck you might not rely on the trailer brakes to stop the rig.  Have a safety margin. You didn’t specify you would pull with a half ton truck.  I know stickers are sky high but getting a bigger truck Should mean many parts are bigger and better.  Don’t think about matching “enough” truck with your 5th wheel. Go for as much more as you can afford.  (Also see the HD comment above) I pulled a 5k travel trailer around Michigan with a 1/2 ton 5.3 liter and did fine.  On a trip to Maine I discovered 35mph in low gear was not a good place to be.  Went through one stop at the bottom of a hill also. Not fun.
    • I did a little relocation. I have to tie the simulators on and can't get to the inside tire with the simulators in place, so a redesign was in order. This is on the trailer, Newmar with duals. I haven't got around to putting the sensors on the truck. I thumped them for 31 years with good results.  I suppose I take that for granted now days. Other than losing two recaps on the drives in the same night the first year I drove, I can't remember any tire issues in all the years I drove except on trailers. P.S. I know a guy that can weld.......most would burn through those hub covers. Very thin!

    • I know there are many codes for flying and displaying the flag and we observe them at our Legion Post but at home and RV I can't fly ours at have staff because of the way the poles is setup but we proudly fly it at our homebase and trailer year around not just special occasions. Denny
    • Thank you for the information. I will now look at the Flags on Monday to see how many change from morning to afternoon. I doubt many.  The small towns in Iowa do a lot of Flags. I haven't checked my videos of my ride yesterday, but noticed many roads and cemeteries lined with Flags, of course those 6' pole flags have no way of going 1/2 mast and I doubt anyone will apply and then remove a "Black Draping".    Rod
