Arzu Çalış

Washington, D.C.

RC 1983

President

Director since 2010 Arzu Çalış specializes in leadership development and executive coaching.  She started her career in high tech supporting the development of wireless communications.  After working in executive positions in Fortune 50 companies such as Hewlett Packard, she started her own company, A.R.Z.U International, to focus on cultivating authentic leadership from the inside out in individuals and organizations.

Cengiz Hatiboğlu

Princeton, NJ

Treasurer

Director since 1997 Cengiz, is in finance. He is the founding partner of Gramercy Finance LLC, specializing in structuring commodity trade finance transactions. He received his B.S. in Economics from Bogaziçi University.

Emre Şarbak

Boston, MA

RC 2008

Technology Officer

Director since 2023 Emre is a serial social entrepreneur who has built several social ventures in the US and in Turkey. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in Economics and International Studies.

Alpdoğan Kantarcı

Boston, MA

RC 1986

Director since 2009 Alpdogan, a former RCAAA President, is a periodontist. He is a Faculty Member at the Forsyth Institute, Harvard University and Boston University. Alpdogan received his dentistry and doctorate degrees from Istanbul University and periodontology degree from Boston University.

Sumru Arıcanlı

New York, NY

RC 1986

Director since 2010 Sumru is an archaeologist and museum anthropologist on the scientific staff of the American Museum of Natural History (the Anthropology Division). She studied art history, anthropology, and archaeology at Bard College.

Tolga Zeybek

San Francisco, CA

RC 2010

Director since 2015 Tolga is an electrical engineer, working at Zoox. Tolga received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University.

Nesrin Young

Philadelphia, PA

ACG 1969

Director since 2016 Nesrin is a former quality assurance and regulatory manager in the pharmaceutical industry, who worked at Becton Dickinson, Bayer Healthcare, and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Nesrin received her Master’s in Chemical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Tolga Vural

Washington, D.C.

RC 1982

Director since 2021 Tolga is a Founding Partner of Aegean Associates, a management consultancy providing strategy, sales & marketing, communications, organizational development and digital transformation services. Tolga completed his undergraduate degree at Harvard and MBA at Wharton.
