Xeriscape Plants

From Information Compiled by the Star-Telegram

Xeriscape landscaping means quality landscaping that conserves water and protects the environment.  The xeriscape root word comes from the Greek word for “dry”.  Often, when xeriscaped landscapes are mentioned, many think of a landscape consisting of rocks, cactus, and Yucca.  While rocks and those plants can be used in any landscape, xeriscaped land can be beautiful, green, and very inviting.

Want to see some xeriscaped landscapes?  Then visit these places:

  • Fort Worth Southwest Regional Library, 4001 Library Lane
