Quick Post ;P. Yesterday I Reset my Access Switch 3com SuperStack3 3C17701 :
- Plug console cables the switch, open the terminal using what ever our utility.
- using username : recover; password: recover.
- switch will count down and we must quick hard power off the switch
- Power ON the Switch then IOS need us to input the new password for admin username.
- ta daaaa we got our admin user back

I try only this model switch only never try on 3com 5500G (L3 Switch).
