Final Postcard Caption Competition — We Have a Winner!

I’ve had such fun with everyone’s captions for the vintage postcards from Coley’s Point. For the final winner I decided to pick … my Dad, who has been faithfully playing along since the beginning! I love his suggested captions.

That Forgetful Shore comes out in just two days! You can read more about the book (and the postcards that inspired it) at my That Forgetful Shore website. And the overall winner of the caption contest, the person who will get a free copy of the book, is … the commenter known as “Vanilla”! Vanilla, get in touch with me at trudyj65@hotmail.com and I will send along your book as soon as I get my hands on a copy.

And in case you were wondering, the original of this week’s postcard:

I think that maybe that thing in her hands (which someone suggested she would shove down his throat if he didn’t stop singing) is meant to be a “red, red rose.”

Thanks for playing, everyone!
