Emergency Bunker Surcharge in the Asia-Mediterranean-Europe trade
In view of the rising Bunker fuel prices, which have substantially increased in recent months, ZIM will implement an Emergency Bunker Surcharge (EBS) of $ 75 per TEU, effective July 1st, 2009.
The Emergency Bunker Surcharge applies to the westbound trades from Asia and Indian sub-continent to North Europe, Mediterranean, and Black sea. The Emergency Bunker Surcharge will apply to all shipments where the BAF is included in the rate or fixed. Shipments where the BAF is separated and floating will not be affected by the Emergency Bunker Surcharge.
The Emergency Bunker Surcharge will be reviewed on a monthly basis.
