Cassandra Clare shares teaser from ‘Clockwork Prince’ (Hint: it deals with Dirty Sexy Balcony Scene)

Dirty Sexy Balcony Scene has become all the rage amongst Cassandra Clare fans. It’s the topic that everyone wants to know about.

Just last week Clare introduced the topic of Dirty Sexy Balcony Scene to her fandom and since then the question has become, who exactly does it involve?

Is it Tessa and Will? Tessa and Jem? Will and Jem? OK, probably not the latter but it has definitely been a popular suggestion.

That question is one that will continue to be debated up until the release of “Clockwork Prince” in September 2011.

Clare shared a teaser from the scene in the forthcoming “Clockwork Prince,” the sequel to “Clockwork Angel,” the first installment of “The Infernal Devices.”

He reached up and unlocked Tessa’s hands from around his neck. He drew her gloves off, and they joined her mask and the hairpins on the stone floor of the balcony. He pulled off his own mask next and cast it aside, running his hands through his sweat-dampened hair, pushing it back from his forehead. The lower edge of the mask had left marks across his high cheekbones, like light scars, but when she reached to touch them, he gently caught at her hands and pressed them down.
“No,” he said. “Let me touch you first.”

There you have it, folks. A teaser that is sure to have hearts racing and brains reeling as we read every word and try to determine the two characters that are getting their Dirty Sexy Alley Scene on.
