Croatian Armed Forces
Croatian Armed Forces better known as Croatian army (Hrvatska vojska - HV) were formed from National Guard Corps (Zbor narodne garde - ZNG) in 1991.
During the next four war years Croatian Armed Forces developed from lightly armed infantry force into modern army which has successfully defend countries independence and liberated occupied territory.
Current organization of Armed forces is General Staff with its units, branch commands of the Croatian Army, Croatian Navy and Croatian Air Force and Air Defense and Joint Education and Training Command and Logistics Command.
Croatian army participates in several UN peacekeeping missions of which biggest one Afghanistan where there 300 members of Military Police with another 200 joining them soon.
