THE LIGHT OF THE MOON I was standing at the top Of a midnight hill With a sky too big For the stars to fill But even the stars Knew the moon was queen And like Cleopatra She would steal the scene Dont you know, I heard her say This light is not my own Could you spend the night with me Cause its hard to shine alone Could you share your brightest light You see the dark is strong Im waiting for the sun to rise With your help it wont be long So I joined with her And we made a reflection In a river that gave us Calm and collection I told her my light Didnt always shine true Then she said even I Have a dark side too But together we shine Like an energy field So through all the darkness We cannot be concealed Theres a need in the world For our light to exist When it brings us together How can we resist So we shined our finest Until time stood still And I found myself standing Back on top of the hill Laughing out loud And soaring high With the sun rising In the morning sky And as I turned to the sun To refill my light I heard someone whisper Meet me back here tonight LARGE TEXT AT BOTTOM OF PAGE: ...There's a need in this world For our light to exist...
